DMUSD Early Childhood Development Center has 2 center locations. We are located on the school campuses of Ashley Falls School and Torrey Hills School. ECDC operates from August to May, Monday through Friday.
Ashley Falls School serves children 2 - 5 years old
- Full Day 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Half Day 7:30 am - 1:00 pm
Torrey Hills School serves children 3-5 years old
- Full Day 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Half Day 7:30 am - 1:00 pm
Tuition Rates Preschool & Prekindergaten Classrooms
- Full day program $1,610/month
- Half day program $1,200/month
Tuition Rates Toddler Classrooms
- Full day program $1,810/month
- Half day program $1,400/month
REGISTRATION FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR WILL OPEN FEBRUARY 26, 2024 AT 6AM
ALL families, both returning and new will need to use the new registration link.
The following enrollment forms are mandatory and required by Community Care Licensing (CCLD), Department of Social Services. Licensed programs must remain compliant with CCLD at all times. Even our returning students must have updated enrollment files. We thank you for your patience in completing this paperwork!
All forms must be complete, submitted, and approved by the ECDC office prior to the child's first day of school. Return original documents with original signatures in blue or black ink to the ECDC office at Ashley Falls ECDC Office. Please note, as of January 1, 2016 - all children attending public programs must have current and updated vaccines to attend. No Shots, No School!
As a reminder, state and district policy states children entering kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1st. ECDC aligns with this requirement.
Facility Closures and Early Release Dates
The Early Childhood Development Center will be closed on specified days each year. The fee schedule/monthly rate will not be adjusted based on these closures.
For the 2023-24 school year, the following days will be non-operational days and no care will be provided:
Sept 4 – Labor Day
November 10 – Veterans Day Observed
November 20-24 – Thanksgiving Break
December 22 – Jan 5 – Winter Break
January 15 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
February 19-20 – Presidents’ Days Observed
February 21 – In Lieu of Admission Day
February 22-23 – Local Release Days
April 1-5 – Spring Break
May 27 – Memorial Day
